Gryazin to miss Rally Turkey outing

Gryazin to miss Rally Turkey outing
The Russian driver will miss next month's round of the World Rally Championship. He will use this free time to test the newest Škoda Fabia R5 Evo.

Nikolay Gryazin and Yaroslav Fedorov's WRC 2 programme has become shorter for one event. The SRT crew had to withdraw its Rally Turkey entry.
This decision was made after the Barum Czech Rally Zlin, where Nikolay and Yaroslav crashed on SS11. They were going to use the car crashed in the Czech Republic at the Turkish WRC round, but the damage was too severe for that.
At the same time, the SRT team got a new Škoda Fabia R5 Evo, and Nikolay and Yaroslav will make the rest of their debut WRC season with this car. Before that they will have to skip the Rally Turkey in order to properly prepare the new car for the next events.

Nikolay Gryazin
Driver
"Since we have a new Fabia R5 Evo now, we decided not to repair the broken car for Rally Turkey and to focus on the test work with the new car instead. We apologize to the fans who were waiting for our start in Turkey."
As long as the Russian crew is skipping the Turkish round the next start in the WRC after Rallye Deutschland will be Wales Rally GB, which will take place in October 3-6.
